Satisfactory is a factory game: you land on an alien planet, extract resources and build increasingly complex production chains to complete the Space Elevator. The secret isn't building a lot, it's building so that everything runs on its own without clogging up. This guide follows the order you'll need things in: first steps, how to think about the numbers, power, organizing your base, exploration and finally the late game. Values are from version 1.0; if a patch changes them, the official wiki is the reference. First steps (Tier 0 - Tier 2) The goal of the first few hours is to stop doing everything by hand. Complete the HUB and its upgrades, which give you your first smelters, constructors and miners. Biomass power Early on, power comes from Biomass Burners, 30 MW each, fueled with leaves, wood and fiber. They have to be refilled by hand, so this is a transitional phase. Two tricks help a lot: turn biomass into Solid Biofuel, which lasts much longer, and don't sink time into elaborate biomass setups. Coal arrives at Tier 3, and that's where you want to get. Your first lines Three resources cover almost everything you need early on: Iron: ingots, then plates, rods and screws. It's by far the material you'll use the most. Copper: ingots, then wire and cable, which you need for power and many components. Limestone: becomes concrete, essential for foundations and buildings. As soon as you can, automate Reinforced Iron Plates and Rotors too: the HUB and the Space Elevator ask for them, and making them by hand is torture. Foundations Never place machines on bare ground. The terrain is uneven and after a while nothing lines up anymore. Always build on foundations, even just a thin layer: everything stays on the grid and you can expand in any direction without surprises. Where to build Pick a flat area with iron, copper and limestone close together, and ideally water. The "Grass Fields" starting area is the easiest, but they all work. Your first base doesn't have to be perfect: almost everyone ends up rebuilding it later. Thinking per minute In Satisfactory everything is measured in items per minute, and that's how you tell whether a line works. If one machine produces more than the next one consumes, the belt fills up and everything stops; if it produces less, the next machine sits idle. Base recipes worth memorizing Product Input /min Output /min Iron ingot 30 ore 30 Iron plate 30 ingots 20 Iron rod 15 ingots 15 Screws 10 rods 40 Wire 15 copper ingots 30 Cable 60 wire 30 Concrete 45 limestone 15 Steel ingot 45 iron ore + 45 coal 45 A practical example: a Mk.1 miner on a normal node extracts 60 ore per minute. A smelter uses 30, so one miner feeds exactly two smelters. The 30 ingots from one smelter are enough for one plate constructor, or two rod constructors. Node purity and miners Nodes come in three purities: impure, normal and pure. With the same miner, a pure node yields twice a normal one and four times an impure one. A Mk.1 does 30, 60 or 120...
